In the winter of 2019 Undergrowth Collective travelled to the Great Thar Desert of Rajasthan, to manage the artistic direction of Utsava Maa, the ‘Celebration of the Great Mother’. This week long international eco-feminist festival united incredible women from around the world in an environment filled with the resources, inspiration and support needed to take positive environmental action within their homes and communities.

 

Illuminating talks and workshops led by women from across the globe brought light to some of the most pressing social and environmental issues faced by women today. Through art, music, dance, performance and a wide diversity of workshops we encouraged and facilitated women to express, share, dream and collaborate in response to the ongoing international repression and violation of the Earth and her daughters.
