Our most bombastic and ambitious event yet- a community focussed gathering to celebrate the return of the sun and the wilder side of ourselves. We hosted a one-day festival at Bridge farm, Bristol, with workshops, cabaret, live music, parade, a giant slug puppet and the techno canine duo Dogshow!

Carnival In The Undergrowth

Mycelial Pulse
A mysterical exploration of the underground biome- the beetles, beasties, and mycelial spirits congregated for a celebration of the strange at Strange Brew. Featuring a headline act by Bethan Lloyd, the premiere of the Feed the Mushroom immersive installation, and a host of Undergrtowth's finest Bristol based artists, including Fabio Ferri, Lindsay, Anastasia Dahl, Martin Viktorov, Malena Grilli, Silky Disturbance, Bandi, Common Threads, and Lupa.

Bloombox
A summertime theatre collaboration with the wonderful folk at the Bristol mental health and performance charity, Many Minds! We held workshops exploring nature connection through the medium of Mycelium, co-creating small art pieces that embodied the members stories and memories in nature. Our workshops contributed to the formation of a final theatre piece that was performed by the Many Minds members on two nights at Windmill Hill City Farm, and included a final scene of collective engagement based upon our workshops.

Belfire
Welcoming in the spring with an elemental takeover of the Loco Klub- a five room experience, each themed around the five elements: water, fire, air, earth, and aether. A colossal collaboration of more than 40 artists and groups, including Lindsay's mesmerising fire poi ritual accompanied by the powerful Bulgarian folk music of Christina Deva, whilst Undergrowth residents Bandi and Malena Grilli shook the earth when modular synths met Butoh dance theatre.
