The Undergrowth crew were invited to Poland to create a new project for The Palace Collective's artists residency programme. Taking inspiration from fungi, we crafted an collaborative experience for the others residents and the public to co-create an enormous installation over 2 weeks in a room of the palace. Using recycled yarn, over 100 people contributed to creating a physical manifestation of a mycelium network, actively decaying the crumbling palace walls around it. The wool filled the entire room, and facilitated a soft and calming space for sharing, learning new skills, and celebrating.
